Cooperative Program for Operational Meteorology, Education and Training (COMET) Tsunami Strike! “100 Years of Tsunamis”
The lesson I designed, the “100 Years of Tsunamis” interactive map, is a 100-year history of fatal tsunamis. The Goal of the 100 Years of Tsunamis interface design is to demonstrate that tsunamis are not isolated or rare events. The lesson’s historic examples instruct on the diverse locations of tsunamis, the different causes of tsunamis, and the enormity of devastation resulting from tsunamis.
